Maxi-Cosi Rubi Forward-Facing Car Seat

The Rubi is a good-quality forward-facing Maxi Cosi car seat and easy to install, but it didn’t quite deliver for our testers. While comfortable for younger ones, the testers were concerned that it’s too cramped for older children. But it did inspire confidence in its all-important car seat safety, especially given it’s a non-ISOFIX model.

This seat is complicated to install and not easy to move between cars, however, this does give it a firm fit and gives confidence that your child is safe. It has lots of great features but the head support can push baby’s head forward, putting them in an uncomfortable position, even with the seat reclined.

It is also very small but the higher seat position offers a decent view out of the window. The harness is easy to adjust but the seatbelt is fiddly and the seat is heavy. While it is good quality, it is overpriced.
