Mum Shares Inspirational Breastfeeding Graduation Photo

A pic of a woman breastfeeding her baby boy while at her graduating ceremony has gone viral as parents and students alike praise the young mum’s braveness

Jacci Sharkey, from Australia, was photographed by her sister-in-law as she breastfed her son Alex at her graduation ceremony last month.

Gazing down at her son, the intimate photograph instantly went viral when the University of the Sunshine Coast, where Jacci attended, shared the photo on their Facebook page yesterday.

The university uploaded the photo with a quote from Jacci, saying, ‘Just wanted to share a photo from the most recent graduation that I am proud of. I’m extremely proud that with the support of the uni, during my degree I was able to have two babies and still finish my degree.’

So far, the image has over 145,000 likes and around 4,000 shares with plenty of positive comments. One user writes, ‘Good on you USC for posting this photo. A supporter of mothers at uni and breastfeeding!’
