How to calm a crying baby every time, according to one doctor...

It sounds far too good to be true, but one doctor claims to have the secret to calming a crying baby. Tell us NOW, we hear you shout!

Dr. Robert Hamilton, a pediatrician from Santa Monica, California, suggests a technique that he says works consistently on the many babies he treats every day.

There are four simple steps to his technique:

  1. Fold the baby's arms across his front and hold them with one of your hands.
  2. Next, hold the baby by his bottom with your other hand, at a 45-degree angle.
  3. Gently rock your baby up and down.
  4. Gently shake your baby's bottom back and forth.

Dr. Hamilton has been practising for 30 years, so he ought to know what he's talking about. Have you tried this approach? Did it work on your baby? We'd love to know if this really is the secret to calming a crying baby - if so, there will be a collective sigh of millions of mums around the world...
