10 fresh beauty products to wake up your winter skin

This winter, wash away those tired skin cells and give your face a makeover with these fresh beauty products, all designed to wash away the winter blues and renew your skin.

True Nopal Cactus Water, £1.69, Waitrose

When you’re always on the go, it can be tricky to make sure you drink enough and, particularly in the winter, water can get a little boring. Start each day with a glass of the new True Nopal Cactus Water, a 100 per cent natural water. It tastes of berries and gives a boost of vitamin C, 24 antioxidants, electrolytes and dietary fibre, but contains no added sugar and is completely safe to drink during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.

Pure Instant Radiance Micellar Cleansing Oil, £9.50,

Cleansing is the most important step in your skincare routine – no matter how fancy your moisturiser is, it won’t do its job properly if your skin’s not prepped and ready to absorb its ingredients. Cleansing needn’t take long with Pure Instant Radiance Micellar Cleansing Oil. Massage the oil into your skin, add a little water to transform it into a milk, and watch it dissolve make-up and deliver a hydrating hit, thanks to camelina, blackcurrant seed and almond oils.

Thalgo Beautifying Tonic Lotion, £16.95,

If you stopped using toner years ago, it’s time to re-introduce it. Forget the harsh astringent ones of old, toners are now packed with skin-friendly ingredients to remove impurities and soothe your skin. Thalgo Beautifying Tonic Lotion for use on your face and eyes, contains natural marine ingredients rich in minerals to leave your complexion looking clear.

Caudalie Gentle Buffing Cream, £20,

Pregnancy can make your skin more sensitive, so you might need to choose a gentler facial scrub than you’re accustomed to using. The new Caudalie Gentle Buffing Cream is ideal as it contains 97 per cent natural ingredients, including jojoba oil to gently rid your skin of dead skin cells, plus grapeseed oil and acacia honey to moisturise and leave your skin glowing.

SenSpa Detox Muscle Soak, £5.95,

A bubble bath can restore mind and spirit when you’re pregnant or worn out. Make your bath work harder – while you relax – by pouring in SenSpa Detox Muscle Soak. It contains nine natural essential oils, seaweed, Dead Sea salts and marine extracts to help promote cleansing, soothe aches and draw out toxins.

Face Inc By Nails Inc Instant Detox Cleansing Sheet Mask, £5,

Undo festive indulgences and restore skin to its pre-Christmas glow by popping on the new Face Inc By Nails Inc Instant Detox Cleansing Sheet Mask. Leave it on for
15 minutes and let the antioxidant-rich blend of acacia, camomile and ginkgo leaf quickly rebalance and restore your skin.

Neal’s Yard Remedies Seaweed Salt Scrub, £18.50,

Up the effect of a seaweed and Dead Sea salt bath (below, far left) by scrubbing your skin with detoxifying Neal’s Yard Remedies Seaweed Salt Scrub. The seaweed is a rich source of minerals for your skin, the salt will buff away dead skin cells, and the black pepper, grapefruit and ginger essential oils tone and condition.

L’Oréal Elvive Extraordinary Clay Shampoo and Conditioner, from £2.99,

Your hair can also benefit from a thorough cleanse, particularly when it’s been overloaded with product during party season, or subjected to pollution. But who has time to wash their hair every day and tackle oily roots? L’Oréal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Clay Re-balancing Shampoo and Conditioner both contain clay to absorb oil for 72 hours, while also hydrating the tips of your hair.

Super Fresh Zesty Lemon Body Wash, £7.50,

A shower gel needs to cleanse, but we love one that give us a boost too! New brand Soaper Duper has launched Super Fresh Zesty Lemon Body Wash, with aloe vera juice, lime oil, orange extract and shea butter to cleanse and brighten your skin. The citrus fragrance will also brighten your mood.

Pukka Turmeric Gold tea, £2.79,

One cup of Pukka Turmeric Gold tea contains all the antioxidant benefits of green tea, plus  well-being boosters turmeric and cardamom, and a lemon zing. As with most herbal teas, it’s best to consume no more than two cups a day during pregnancy.
