Mums and toddlers from up and down the country will be pulling their festive knits over their heads this Friday 13th December for Save the Children’s new and now annual ‘Christmas Jumper Day’.
It seems that Colin Firth’s reindeer jumper in Bridget Jones’s Diary was the start of a festive revolution – much like Jeans for Genes Day, this new nationwide and now annual event asks people to wear their winter woolies for the day and donate £1 to help fund Save the Children’s excellent work.
Like we need any more of an excuse to be more excited than our children for Christmas but wearing our festive knits in the aid of charity reminds us that beneath all of the decorations and Peppa Pig presents, it is the time of giving, after all.
Our fave celeb mum Myleene Klass, is among the host of British celebrities that are backing the new festive fundraising campaign for Save the Children.
Sweater style knows no limits so if your Christmas knit is moth-ridden, why not get creative with your little one and decorate your own glitzy knitwear with tinsel and paper snowflakes?
The M&B office can’t wait to wear our Christmas knits. And we want to see yours!
Send us snaps of you and your little ones in your Christmas jumpers to firstname.lastname@example.org and see if you get featured in our Crimbo jumper gallery!
