Sex Actually Makes You Smarter! Early Night, Anyone?

Put your baby to bed and schedule some couple time – new research reveals sex isn’t just fun, it actually boosts brain power, too

Having a baby can put you off that whole sex thing. You’re tired from work and your little one is keeping you up all night.

But scientists now suggest making the time for sex won’t just feel good, it’ll make you smarter and boost your memory, too.

The study at the University of Maryland, US, was carried out on middle-aged mice, which were monitored by experts as they mated.

The results revealed that having sex increased the number of active brain cells and generated activity in the hippocampus, the part of the brain where long-term memories are made. Meaning, you develop more brain cells and restore memory function when you get busy.
In another study, sex was shown to counteract the effects of stress on the brain. Double win!

So it’s official, it's time date night got up and running. But if you’re in need of some tips on getting back in the sack, we’ve got it all covered.

What are your tips for sex with your partner with a baby in tow?
