The Queen of Pop was the talk of the evening, after a wardrobe malfunction meant her dancers dragged her backwards down the stairs by her Armani cape. Mum to Lourdes, Rocco, Mercy, and David, she showed real mum spirit by getting up after her fall and carrying on with her live performance. We particularly enjoyed her belting out the line “Lifted me up, and watched me stumble” without a hint of irony. [Photo: Madonna/Instagram]

Mel C and Emma Bunton

We loved this mini Spice Girls reunion at The Brits, with mums Mel and Emma looking as amazing as always. Mel is mum to Scarlet, while Emma has two sons, Tate and Beau. Sadly we didn't see a rendition of 'Two Becomes One' up on stage... [Photo: ASOS/Instagram]

Holly Willoughby and Fearne Cotton

Holly, mum to Belle, Harry and Chester, and on the shortlist for Celebrity Mum of the Year, cuddled up to Fearne Cotton, mum to Rex. Twitter was awash with rumours that Fearne was pregnant, as she wore a loose-fitting dress that could have been hiding a bump. [Photo: Fearne Cotton/Instagram]

Kim Kardashian with Ant and Dec

Before the important task of introducing her husband Kanye West on stage, Kim naturally had to take a selfie with Ant and Dec. Unfortunately user error meant the photo didn't take. [Photo: Kim Kardashian/Instagram]

Jo Whiley

Mum to four - Cassius, Jude, Coco and India - Radio 2 DJ Jo Whiley looked stunning on the red carpet. She wrote on Twitter: “Time for a bit of Brit action. Yikes! Thanks @RolandMouret & @louboutinshop for the Cinderella effect x” [Photo: Jo Whiley/Twitter]
