Celeb Friends Congratulate New Dad Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell welcomed his first baby – son Eric – into the world on Friday. And the music mogul’s celeb pals wasted no time in congratulating the new dad on Twitter.

It’s fair to say that Valentine’s Day was filled with love for Simon Cowell and partner Lauren Silverman.

The X Factor boss, who raced from the UK to New York in time for his baby’s arrival on Friday, broke the news of his son’s arrival to the world via his Twitter account. He then delighted fans by posting three adorable black and white snaps of his and partner Lauren Silverman’s newborn.

And the new dad seems over the moon with his son.

Named Eric, after Simon’s dad, the baby has already received a lot of attention from the public and celebrities.

US talk show host Ellen DeGeneres tweeted, ‘What a perfect day for @SimonCowell to have his son be born. I wish you all the love in the world.’

Simon’s Britain’s Got Talent co-judges also congratulated him and partner Lauren. David Walliams opted for a joke tweet, writing,

Alesha Dixon, who became a parent herself in October, tweeted,

Piers Morgan also congratulated the new dad on Twitter, by posting a photo of Simon with his father, saying,

Cheryl Cole took to Instagram to congratulate Simon.

The singer regrammed the photo that Simon posted of his son, saying, ‘Awwww.. Congratulations to Simon & Lauren on welcoming their little man into the world!! So adorable. #WelcometotheworldbabyEric ’

The new parents were snapped leaving the Manhatten hospital carrying Eric in a CYBEX Charcoal Aton baby carrier, believed to be heading home to their New York apartment together.
