Kimberley Walsh Reveals Just How Cheryl Fernandez-Versini Reacted When She Met Baby Bobby

Section: Celebrity Mums

Yep, The X Factor judge burst into tears (And wanted to know ‘all the gory details’ of the birth)

Kimberley Walsh has admitted that Cheryl and her new husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini couldn’t wait to meet baby Bobby Jay – and came to the hospital just an hour after he’d been born.

‘[Cheryl] loves him!’ the new mum told OK! magazine. ‘I think it was a bit overwhelming for her and she cried when she saw him. She’s offered to babysit for us already.’

Cheryl didn’t arrive empty handed – she bought him a Fendi bomber jacket which is sure to make Bobby the most stylish newborn. Ever.

According to Kimberley, Cheryl wanted to know all about the birth – with no details spared. ‘JB was with her and he said he needed to leave, as he couldn’t cope – I think there was too much birthing conversation,’ says the singer.

‘He told Cheryl that he’d wait for her downstairs, which I think was probably wise as Cheryl wanted to know all the gory details. I could just see JB’s face. I fully appreciate it’s quite full-on for a man.’

And it’s not surprising as Kimberley admits her baby’s birth had some last-minute complications.

‘He’d been in the right position for the last three months but he turned after my waters broke,’ says Kimberley. ‘The obstetrician tried to turn him but he kept flipping back so she made the call to assist with forceps. I’m grateful we got him out with forceps, it could have easily ended in an emergency C-section.’

The mum-of-one also shared photos of her son in the magazine, which is out now.
