‘Mason And Penelope Still Sleep In My Bed’: Kourtney Kardashian Favours Attachment Parenting

The Kardashian sister has revealed that her son and daughter still sleep in the bed she shares with boyfriend, Scott Disick

The reality TV star admits that co-sleeping with her children Mason, four, and Penelope, 19 months, just ‘came naturally to her’.

Talking in the May issue of US magazine RedBook, Kourtney, 34, said, ‘Both Mason and Penelope still sleep in my bed.

‘It’s what came naturally to me; I didn’t plan it. When I had Mason, I just felt really attached to him, and wanted to bring him everywhere. He ended up sleeping with me, and I breast-fed for 14 months.

‘Both children generally start out sleeping in their own room, but ultimately end up in our bed, sometimes within minutes.

When asked what effect this had on her relationship with her boyfriend Scott, she admitted it can be a challenge, but the children do give them space sometimes.

‘Mostly there are times each night when the kids are in their own rooms, and sometimes it even lasts all night. Every night is different,’ she added.

Kourtney said that communication is a key aspect of her parenting style.

‘I wouldn’t say I’m strict. I love to communicate with my kids, and I constantly check in and try to talk things through instead,’ she said.
