Double The Fun! Oscar Nominations Host Chris Hemsworth's Wife Is Expecting Twins

It’s shaping up to be a brilliant year for Chris Hemsworth. In addition to hosting the most prestigious film and TV award nominations (duh, the Oscars) last night, the 30-year-old Thor actor has announced that his wife is expecting twins

Chris and his wife, Spanish actress Elsa Pataky, are already parents to 20 month old India. The twins, whose genders are unknown, should arrive this spring and we can’t wait to see the double cutie – and find out what their parents will name them.

We hope the dishy Aussie dad is able to take some time off from his busy acting career for paternity leave. He’s got a busy year ahead including the filming of sequels to The Avengers and Snow White and the Huntsman.

But presenting the Academy Award nominations alongside Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences president Cheryl Boone Isaacs has definitely sealed his stardom.

We’re thrilled to see so many of our favourite famous parents up for gongs, including Sandra Bullock for her role in action flick Gravity, Julia Roberts for August: Osage County and Cate Blanchett for her part in Blue Jasmine. Cate even took her nine-year-old son Roman along to last night’s event as her date. Awww.

If you’ve got twins, make sure you check out our guide on how to dress twins and have a read of M&B's exclusive interview with former Atomic Kitten Jenny Frost, who chats about life with her twin girls.
