Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden are expecting their second child

The TV couple shared the news on Twitter with a fun ‘We’re expecting!’ photo

Charley, who plays Debbie Dingle on the ITV soap, has revealed she and her co-star and partner are to have a second child together.

She posted an image of Matthew - who plays David Metcalfe - holding up a sign which reads "Baby number #2" with an arrow pointing towards her belly while their five-year-old son Buster is stood behind a sign saying "only child expiring December 2015".

Alongside the black and white photo, the 27-year-old actress wrote: "Here we go again #babynumber2".

Matthew also shared the same image before thanking fans for their kind words.

He wrote: "Wow.... Overwhelmed by all the congrats tweets!! Thank you so much we are sooooooo excited!! @MissCharleyWebb xxxxx"

The 35-year-old actor previously admitted he was "desperate for a little girl" and confessed he wanted to have "tonnes of kids".

Charley and Matthew first started dating in 2008 and got engaged in 2009 when Matthew popped the question on Christmas day.

However, three years after the birth of their young son, the couple split in 2013 before getting back together after staying friends.

Congratulations Charley and Matthew!
