Kimberley Walsh Talks Pregnancy Cravings And Maternity Leave

Just like all pregnant women, Kimberley Walsh is experiencing her fair share of cravings and making plans for her career when her baby arrives

For Sam Bailey it’s strawberry split ice lollies. For Kim Kardashian is was artichokes. But Kimberley Walsh is craving something spicier.

‘I’m feeling good and I’ve got away quite lightly,’ says Kimberley. ‘But I have had a weird craving for pouring chilli oil on everything I eat.’

The Girls Aloud singer, who announced her pregnancy in February, has decided not to find out the sex of her baby until he or she arrives but is making plans for her career once she’s a mum.

'I have had a weird craving for pouring chilli oil on everything I eat’

The 32-year-old singer seems to have juggled her pregnancy and career very well so far – even shooting her new music video with a baby bump. But Kimberley knows that once her baby arrives she will have to slow down.

‘I’ll be working for the next few months but will be taking it easy nearer to the birth,’ says Kimberley. ‘Once the baby’s born I’ll give myself a bit of time to settle into motherhood. But I’m not very good at not working so I will need to find a good balance where I can spend lots of time with the baby and keep my career going.’
