Kristen Bell Opens Up About Struggling To Bond During Pregnancy

That magic bump and baby bond can hit us all at very different stages – something Veronica Mars actress Kristen Bell relates to

New mum Kristen Bell, 33, has spoken about being worried during pregnancy that she wouldn’t bond with her baby.

The Forgetting Sarah Marshall actress, who recently married actor Dax Shepard, opened up to Flare magazine.

‘I kept saying to Dax in all sincerity during my pregnancy, “I just don’t know how I’m going to like her as much as I like the dogs.” I was being serious. Because I f***ing love my dogs; they are my children.’

‘I love people the more I know them, and I didn’t know her. It could’ve been a water bottle in my belly, that’s about how connected I felt to her during my pregnancy.’

But as soon as Kristen gave birth to her daughter Lincoln in March, that mum-daughter bond hit her.

‘Within about 24 hours after she came out, my hormones reset, and they reprogrammed my feelings about her,’ she explains.
