Pregnancy News For Coronation Street’s Jennie McAlpine

The actress, who plays Fiz Stape in the long-running ITV programme, is preparing for the arrival of her first child

Corrie star Jennie McAlphine, 30, announced her happy news on Twitter yesterday, revealing that she’s expecting a baby with her partner Chris Farr.

The mum-to-be tweeted, ‘We have some news to share. Chris and I are expecting an addition to our family. Very happy.’

The Corrie star has already received lots of congratulatory tweets from fellow cast members, including Michelle Keegan who tweeted, ‘Congratulations! Amazing news!!!’

This is the first child for the couple, who have been together since 2005 when they met through Jennie’s co-star Antony Cotton, aka Sean Tully. But Jennie’s had a bit of parenting prep already, through her relationship with on-screen daughter Hope.

Jennie joins the ranks of other celebs who have announced their pregnancy news via Twitter, including her ex co-star Tina O’Brien who’s expecting her second child.

We wonder if Jennie will also share her first pic of her son or daughter via Twitter or Instagram – just like these other celeb parents.
