Kate Middleton has had to pull out of her impending trip to Malta, because of a pregnancy-related illness
Since it was revealed last week that K Mid is pregnant with her second child and once again suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum, rumours have been circling that the Duchess will have to pull out of her first solo foreign trip. And Kensington Palace has revealed that is the case.

Kate, 32, who was due to go to Malta this weekend in her first alone royal appearance aboard, is still suffering from the effects of Hyperemesis Gravidarum and so has made the decision to cancel the trip.
‘The decision not to travel was taken by the Duke and Duchess on the advice of the Duchess's doctors,’ said a Kensington Palace spokesman.

But the residents of Malta won’t miss out on the chance of glimpsing a royal figure as Prince William is set to go in her place.

The Duchess was set to represent the Queen on a two-day visit to the island to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Malta’s independence – but the Duke of Cambridge will carry out Kate’s planned itinerary instead.
