Pregnant Duchess Of Cambridge Set To Visit New York

Despite missing out on her solo tour to Malta in September, Kate will be representing the royal family along with Wills on a trip to the US in December

This will be Kate and Wills' first ever trip to New York next month, Kensington Palace has announced. Kate will be around 20 weeks pregnant at the time, so well within the 28 week point where mums-to-be require a letter confirming it's safe for them to fly.

The royal couple, who are expecting their second child in April, have a jam-packed schedule – but sadly it doesn’t include Prince George. The one year old will be staying at home with his nanny and granny Carole Middleton, so they’ll be no snapshots of him for us to obsess over.

However, there’s bound to be plenty of pics of Kate rocking some inspiring maternity looks as her pregnancy progresses.

The Duchess has reportedly commissioned designer Jenny Packham, who created the polka dot maternity dress that Kate wore when leaving the hospital after George was born, to make her three gowns. So hopefully one or more of these will be unveiled while in the Big Apple.

The royal couple will fly to the US on 7 December and stay there for two days, visiting the September 11 memorial and taking in a basketball game (which Jay Z and Beyonce are rumoured to be attending, too). The Duchess will also attend a local development centre while Wills visits Washington D.C. for a conference.
