Rachel Stevens Gives Birth To Baby Daughter

The former S-Club 7 singer welcomed her second baby yesterday

Rachel Stevens, 35, has given birth to her second child, with her husband Alex Bourne announcing the news on Twitter. This is a little sister for their daughter, Amelie, three.

‘Delighted to announce the safe arrival of our gorgeous little girl! @MsRachelStevens and baby both really well. Amelie happy and ‘cited (sic)’ wrote Alex.

The announcement was swiftly followed by a statement appearing on Rachel’s official webpage saying, ‘We’re so happy that baby has arrived safely. Within minutes of meeting her we were totally smitten. Amelie is happy and ‘cited to have a little sister to play with and we can’t wait to introduce her to the whole family.’

They are yet to name their daughter, but confirmed that she weighed 7lb 7oz.

It was only a week ago that Rachel had shared a picture of her bump on her website blog, saying, ‘I'm starting to nest as it's not long to go now but thank you for your lovely messages and support. We're really excited to meet bump when he/she arrives!’

The couple had announced her pregnancy last September with a cute Instagram photo, showing four pairs of trainers to demonstrate that they’d become a family of four in 2014. Her newest addition was marked by a tiny pair of white trainers.
