Some amazing royal baby news for the world to celebrate as Prince William’s cousin Zara Phillips gives birth

The royal baby fever continues as Zara Phillips and her husband Mike Tindall announce that they’ve had their baby.

The royal princess has safely delivered a baby girl at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with her husband Mike Tindall by her side.

According to a statement issued by the press secretary to the Queen, Zara’s daughter weights 7lb 12oz.

The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal, Captain Mark Phillips and Mike’s parents, Mr Phillip and Mrs Linda Tindall, have been informed and are said to be delighted with the news.  The baby’s name is yet to be announced.

This is Zara and Mike’s first baby and the fourth great-grandchild for The Queen and Prince Philip. The baby girl will be 16th in line to the throne and Prince George’s first cousin.

We couldn’t be happier for the couple!
