Shakira Brings Baby Milan Along To World Cup Closing Ceremony

Pop star Shakira had the eyes of the world upon her as she performed her upbeat World Cup song La La La (Brazil 2014) at the official closing ceremony – and she ensured she was joined by her nearest and dearest, including her baby boy Milan.

The Colombian star performed in a sequined red gown and wowed the crowds with her energetic performance, before collecting her son from husband Gerard Pique in the crowds and bringing him onstage.

The 27 year old met Spanish footballer Gerard Pique at the 2010 World Cup closing ceremony concert, where she was performing the World Cup anthem Waka Waka – Time For Africa.

Speaking ahead of the World Cup closing ceremony concert on Sunday she said she ‘will never forget that I met the love of my life at the World Cup’.

The couple welcomed baby Milan, their first child together on 22 January  2013. The star shared a cute snap of their newborn on her website wearing tiny trainers labelled FC Barcelona.

'Just like his father, baby Milan became a member of FC Barcelona at birth,' she said.

Gerard and his fellow Spaniards never made it out of the Group Stage and the World Cup was eventually won by Germany last night in The Maracanã Stadium.

Shakira's son isn't the only tiny footie fan. Two-year-old Asher John Lawrence-Maguire, who won our World Cup giveaway, also loves a kickabout watch him in action below...
