We haven’t heard much from Robbie Williams since he became a dad last year. But the singer has just revealed a little bit about his daughter…
To the world, Robbie Williams seems like he would be such a fun dad – but when she's older his daughter may find he’s quite strict in order to protect her.
At an event last night, he said, ‘I’m worried she’ll meet someone like me.’ We don’t reckon that would be all that bad, Robs.
The Facebook event was promoting Robbie’s latest single Go Gentle, which the star said is about his daughter Theodora Rose, 14 months.
‘[The track is about being] worried she might meet someone like me – and what she should do if she does,’ revealed the singer.
'Britishness and manners are really important and she’s got more chance of being a well-rounded individual here than Hollywood.'
So far the dad of one seems to be loving parenthood, saying, ‘So far, so good – it’s been an absolute pleasure to love her and care for her.’ Awww.
‘There aren’t many great adverts for marriage or parenthood, it always looks so stressful and that’s what I’ve been scared of,’ the singer told the MailOnline. ‘What you don’t realise is how much you’re going to get back.’
Robbie also wants his daughter, nicknamed Teddy, to maintain a sense of Britishness, hence his and wife Ayda Field’s decision to raise her here.
‘I want Teddy to have a sense of irony. Britishness and manners are really important and she’s got more chance of being a well-rounded individual here than Hollywood,’ he said.
Robbie is the latest pop star parent to dedicate a song to his baby, following in the steps of Beyonce and Jay Z. We wonder if Kanye will be next…
