Strictly Come Dancing’s Erin Boag Gives Birth To Baby Boy

Congratulations are in order for Strictly Star Erin Boag, 39, who has announced the birth of her first child on Twitter.

Confirming the happy news to her 57,600 followers, she wrote,

‘Peter and I are so pleased to announce the arrival of our adorable baby boy, thank you for all your wonderful messages. So very happy x’

Erin waltzed off the hugely popular BBC show Strictly Come Dancing last year, after being a regular fixture for almost a decade.

The professional dancer has since swapped entertaining audiences with sambas, sequins and celebrity partners, for pregnancy and motherhood, which she has been documenting on a blog for Hello! Magazine.

However, the ballroom dancer doesn’t plan to be out of action for long and plans to return to her tour with professional partner Anton du Beke as soon as she is able.

Writing on her blog  she said,

‘I intend to be back working again six weeks after baby arrives and feel having shows lined up gives me a bit of a target to aim for. But I also know Anton will be very supportive and if necessary he will drag me around the floor for the first few shows until I get my fitness back to the required level.’

Her work ethic has raised eyebrows throughout her pregnancy and Erin faced criticism for performing at the Royal Albert Hall in December last year, when 22 weeks pregnant.

How long did you wait before going back to work? Let us know below.
