VIDEO! Benedict Cumberbatch Appears In Sesame Street

Best known for his ‘serious’ acting endeavours, such as iconic detective Sherlock Holmes, Benedict Cumberbatch’s turn in a kids’ classic TV show.

If you needed a reason to sit and watch your toddler’s TV shows with him, this is it. The British actor stars alongside a pair of Sesame Street Muppets, from the hit long-running children’s television show.

Benedict, Murray Monster and Cont von Count appear together in the two and a half minute video promoting – and poking fun at – the new Sherlock season.

The spoof video shows Murray Monster mistaking Benedict for his Sherlock alter ego and taking on the character of Murray-arty himself – in homage to Sherlock villain Moriarty.

‘I’m not really Sherlock,’ says Benedict to Murray Monster. ‘I just play him on the television.’

But Murray Monster proceeds to challenge Benedict with fruit-filled detective games, which he enlists the help of Cont von Count for.
