Why Is Fearne Your Favourite Celebrity Mum?

Section: Celebrity Mums

A certain Ms Cotton has taken the crown of best-loved new celebrity mum - not bad for a Thursday's work, eh?

We hope Fearne Cotton is smiling amid the nappy/milk/tears chaos that is no doubt playing out in her home right now.

Not only has the Radio 1 DJ got a gorgeous little boy to cuddle, but she's now been named the celebrity mum you lot most admire.

32-year-old Fearne has been awarded the Bounty Celebrity Stork Award, after coming top in a survey voted for by nearly 4,000 British mums.

According to Bounty, what won it for Fearne was the fact that she took eight months off work to bond with new son Rex last year, and isn't afraid to put family life first.

Lisa Penney, spokesmum for Bounty Parenting Club says: 'Celebrity mums are often hailed as being the nation’s favourites simply because of their fame and not necessarily because of their personality or parenting skills.

'Fearne is a great example of being a working mother who manages to juggle a successful career whilst maintaining a balance in her family life. Real mums identify with this, admiring her down- to-earth approach to parenting and the fact that she doesn’t publicly flaunt her son like the latest accessory.'

Fearne's win was a close call though, as Kate Winslet came second for her 'straight-talking, no-nonsense approach to life' and Alesha Dixon was voted third for keeping 'her baby daughter Azura away from the media glare.'

'Real mums admire the fact that she doesn't publicly flaunt her son like the latest accessory.'

Here's the top ten, as voted for by the real mums, of celebrities they'd love to meet at their local parenting group...

1.    Fearne Cotton – Rex, born February 2013

2.    Kate Winslet – Bear, born December 2013

3.    Alesha Dixon – Azura, born October 2013

4.    Frankie Sandford – Parker, born October 2013

5.    Joanna Page – Eva, born February 2013

6.    Rochelle Humes - Alaia-Mai, born May 2013

8.    Coleen Rooney – Klay, born May 2013
