Mum Gives Birth To Baby Boy – Who Lands In Her Onesie!

New mum Jessica Wynter didn’t make it to the labour ward, but her snuggly jumpsuit was there to catch her newborn in the car park

This festive season has seen a lot of us in our onesies (often eating mince pies on the sofa). But for new mum Jessica Wynter, her cosy jumpsuit is extra special – she gave birth to her baby in it.

Two days after Christmas, the 21 year old from Streatham arrived at London’s King’s College Hospital in labour. But she didn’t make it out of the car park before her son Kai was born.

Jessica’s dad ran to get a wheelchair while his daughter was on all fours outside their car – Kai was born moments later. Jessica’s mum Christine unzipped the spotted onesie her daughter was wearing to find her adorable, healthy grandson in the right leg.

‘I thought I’d given birth to the water sac and then I heard a little cry, and that’s when he was there,’ Jessica told ITV News. ‘I was in complete shock, I didn’t know what to think, I’m still in shock now!’

The new mum also joked that Kai’s nickname was going to be Onesie for the rest of his life.
