‘Sex Is Funny When You’re Pregnant’ says Kristin Cavallari

The former reality star opens up about how expecting a baby can cause awkwardness during sex and explains how she and her hubby Jay Cutler keep the romance alive

Kristin Cavallari has opened up about her experience of pregnancy sex. The former The Hills star, who’s currently pregnant with her second son with American footballer husband Jay Cutler, admits that sex while pregnant can be a tad awkward – particularly for Jay.

‘Sex is funny when you’re pregnant,’ Kristin, 27, told Fit Pregnancy. ‘Guys get weird about it. I’m like “Oh Jay, the baby’s kicking!" And he’s like, not wanting to know about it.

‘It’s important for women to realise – if your guy is a little weirded out but isn’t good at expressing that, it can be isolating,’ she explained.

The couple, who are already parents to 19-month-old Camden Jack, can’t wait to add to expand their family and Kristin says both she and Jay are excited to have another baby while they’re still young.

‘When the kids go to college, we can travel and do whatever we want,’ Kristin said. But until that time comes, the couple are keeping their romance alive with at-home dates.

‘Lighting a candle and taking a bath together is great,’ she revealed. ‘It doesn’t even have to be in a sexual way, just getting in the bath and talking.’

But while Kristin seems happy to talk about her pregnancy and relationship, she isn’t keen to star in another reality show – despite shooting to fame in US progammes Laguna Beach and The Hills.

‘We get reality show offers all the time and we’re like, “No”,’ Kristin says. ‘Family is so sacred, why mess with that?’
