M&B says: This is a more traditional seat without the innovations of the others. But it aims to hug your baby in a secure hold.
It’s practical, inexpensive and light enough to carry around – even with your baby in it. It’s really easy to install and move between the car and the house, and you can secure it using belted or ISOFIX bases (available separately). It can also be attached to Cosatto pushchair frames. Our testers found this more basic seat highlighted the downsides of seats with added functionality.
Tested by mum Aimée Higby, 25, from Essex, is mum to Aiden, six weeks old. She says:
‘This is stylish, lightweight and easy to install. The newborn insert offers good head support. I would categorise this is a good budget buy.’
Tested by mum Helen Wood, 31, from Cambridgeshire, mum to Ethan, six months. She says:
‘This will appeal to design lovers, but style isn’t overly important to me in a car seat. It’s a bit basic for my needs and the fastenings were fiddly to use.’
Tested by Cora Fleming, 35, from Ipswich, mum to Lyla, 12 months. She says:
‘This is a good value basic seat. It was the easiest to use of all those we tested. It was also the best for moving in and out of the car, because it’s so light.’
