What we say:

This rear-facing i-Size car seat comes with the ISOFIX Base 2 included and is suitable from birth up to 83cm (approx 15 months). Offers both upright and lie-flat positions. It’s also compatible with selected pushchairs. Excellent for lie-flat safe sleeping on the go.

Tested by Funda Gunes, from London, mum to Kaya, six weeks. She said:

I love the shape and width of this – Kaya looked really comfortable and the head support is great. We didn’t use the lie-flat mode, as Kaya suffers from reflux, but it’s a brilliant idea. The base is easily secured and the seat is quick and easy to install and detach. This seems expensive at first, but is actually reasonably priced as you don’t need to buy a separate base.

Tested by Sally Coffey, from London, mum to Stanley, six months. She said:

This option is much more spacious than some of the other seats we tested, so Stanley fits into it really nicely. He’s too interested in the world around him to tolerate the lie-flat position, but it would be very useful for naps or for younger babies. I love that the base is included, but you do have to take it with you and refit if you’re going to use the seat in another vehicle.

Tested by Rachel Palmer, from Wigan, mum to Dorothy, nine months. She said:

Dottie can usually wriggle out of a three-point harness, but she didn’t manage to do that in this seat – perhaps because the ‘between the legs’ strap is quite long. The seat is a good size and light enough to easily put in and take out of the car. The lie-flat recline option is fantastic and gave me peace of mind about Dottie falling asleep in the car.
