2015 – Shorlisted for 'Best Car Seat Group 1' Award!

The New Austin car seat from Renolux is simple and safe to use. It has a comfortable reducer and the harness is easy to adjust, thanks to the fact that it is connected to the headrest (which is adjustable). It's easy to assemble and the recline function enhances baby's comfort. The seat is also well padded.

The height of the seat enables little ones to look out the window when travelling and it's really easy to switch the seat between rear and forward facing.

However, the seat is quite heavy and not easy to get in and out of the car – clearer fitting instructions would be useful! The seat is also quite small.

2014 – Shorlisted for 'Best Specialist Car Seat' Award!

Renolux Austin 0+/1 Little West is a sturdy, well-made car seat. The padding is supportive, as is the headrest, and the seat is generally very comfortable. The harness adjusts easily and the recline feature is great although the buckle can be fiddly.

The seat has rear-facing capability but this option is difficult to fit – working out how to tip the seat to get the seatbelt through is a challenge (and the instructions are not particularly helpful on this point). The seat is also quite low in the car, which means that little ones do not have a good window view.

Overall, it’s a sturdy product that is safe and secure; a couple of issues but a decently priced seat – good value for money.
