Like all Cosatto products the Hug ISOFIX features really fun designs. This seat combines an attractive pattern with easy installation, a solid safe feeling seat and a long lasting age range. While the seat is expensive the potential to use it for 8 years means it becomes good value. It is well padded, the fabric feels like it will clean well and last and the integrated isofix makes the seat really safe (which is particularly a concern when the child grows out of a 5 point harness).

How did this product make your life easier?

This seat looks fun which means my daughter likes to sit in it (always helpful). The ISOFIX makes it quick to install and provides confidence that it is safe. The adjustability to last for a long age range also prevents the need to get multiple car seats. The anti-escape design to stop little children wriggling out of the straps is really clever. The video online showing you how to install it and what you need to know to ensure safe use is great and makes it easy to understand the car seat.

The Cosatto Hug ISOFIX is a brilliant car seat. It is well designed, comfortable and should be long lasting with some great features such as the anti-escape system. Even compared to other group 1, 2, 3 ISOFIX car seats the Hug ISOFIX is expensive and it is hard to see why the cost is justified.

What changes would you make to this product?

The biggest thing which would put me off purchasing the Cosatto Hug ISOFIX is that it is only forward facing and at 9kg (the starting weight) I would not want my children facing forwards. This means I would only look at buying a seat like this when they were age 3 or 4. I find the buckle a little difficult to do up, especially with a wriggling child in place or in the dark and I think the design of it could be improved.

I think this car seat is very good value for money as it is suitable from approximately 9 months to 12 years, this would save you a great deal of money, as after purchasing this car seat you would not need to buy another. It is very comfortable and feels very cushioned, especially the sides and headrest. My little girl fell asleep in it almost instantly when we were testing it. I think the removable covers are a good idea as car seats tend to get quite mucky. The car seat was also very easy to fit using ISOFIX.

How did this product make your life easier?

I found this car seat very easy to fit in my car. I like that it has the option to use a seatbelt but like that it is ISOFIX as most cars I see friends and family drive have ISOFIX points. I found the buckle on the seat belt easy to lock in place and also easy to release making it quick and easy to get my child in and out of the car seat. The car seat makes my life easier as I can easily move it to the front seat if I needed to.

I like the comfort of this car seat, the sides and head rest are especially comfortable. I also like that the head is adjustable so that it grows as your child grows, essential for a car seat which can be used for up to 12 years. The design on the covers is bright and cheerful and would hide dirt but I am unsure how a 12-year-old would feel sitting in the car seat with those designs as they would probably be considered immature to a 12-year-old!

What changes would you make to this product?

This car seat is only forward facing. Having researched car seats in depth for these reviews I have learned that children are up to five times safer in a rear facing car seat. This is the single most important factor for me in chosing a car seat so if this car seat was able to be rear facing as well as forward facing it would make it an excellent choice. I have also seen other car seats in this bracket which swivel 360 degrees making it easier to get your child out of the car seat. This would also save your back from strain.

The Cosatto Hug ISOFIX stands out from the others due to the design, pattern and print - it immediately attracted my attention. I most like the fact that this seat is forward facing, making long journeys a more pleasurable experience for both the parent and the child. This seat comes with an anti-escape system which I think is an excellent feature for older children.

How did this product make your life easier?

This product would make my life easier due to the anti-escape system which is still comfortable for the child whilst keeping them safe. This device makes traveling long distances more enjoyable without the worry that my child may wriggle out of the seat. I also like the fact that this seat is forward facing allowing easier interaction with the child whilst driving.
