What they say:

“Keep your baby close by your side while they sleep in the safety of their own defined space. The Knuma Huddle 4-in-1 bedside crib allows you to comfort and feed your baby throughout the night with ease and peace of mind. The multi-functional Huddle, can also be used as a stand alone crib and has a removable bassinet which is perfect for daytime naps around the home. In addition once the Huddle is no longer needed as a crib it can be converted to a child's desk and bench with no additional parts required. Available in natural beech or white.”

Would you recommend the Knuma Huddle to other mums?

We really would recommend the Knuma Huddle. We have been co-sleepers with all three of our children and this bed is the best product we have tried for this purpose. With the added benefit of being able to turn it into a desk and chair when baby outgrows it is just lovely and really enables less waste and also keeps the crib within use in our home as a lovely keepsake.

How did this product make your life easier?

As co-sleepers we always find this method of sleeping enables more rest for us all as a family, and having a nice co sleep bed really is a lovely addition. It's a nice design and fits next to the bed with ease and is very easygoing to assemble and use. We found the feature of removing the crib from the base was a wonderful extra feature which means I didn't have to leave my baby.

Would you choose this product to win?

We have tried all the similar products over the years and can say this product is head and shoulders above them. The design is attractive and really user friendly and the a change into a desk and chair means that you can keep it as a keepsake for the future and this is something that appeals to me as a mum.

What changes would you make to this product?

I would have it sent pre-made as it did take some time to make and is very, very heavy. Overall though the product is user friendly competitive in price and something we really loved using. Our baby slept well in it and seemed very comfortable in there. It was easily fitted up by our bed and looked stylish too as it fitted in with our room’s decor.

Would you recommend the Knuma Huddle to other mums?

I thought the Knuma Huddle was very well built. It was sturdy and I liked how you could fasten the crib to your own mattress, making it a really secure bedside crib. In addition, you can also adjust the height of the crib so it will fit your bed exactly. I liked the neutral and calm colours. As a desk set, it looked comfortable and older children would enjoy using it.

How did this product make your life easier?

As a bedside crib, the Knuma Huddle allows you to feel safe when bedside sleeping as it is so secure. One of the other ways of using the crib is to use it as a bassinet, which could be useful if staying away from home although it is much larger than a travel cot so I am not sure one would want to travel with it. It is also quite heavy so it would not be easy to transport, but the option is there if one wanted to. I like the fact that it can rock or not, depending on your requirements.

Would you choose this product to win?

As a bedside crib, it's more attractive than others and looks like a 'proper' piece of furniture, with no colourful plastic in sight! I'm not sure whether you would use all of the different features as the bassinet is heavy and bulky, but the option of having 4 different modes is novel. The main feature is that it can become a desk and bench, which is great if you have an older child that could use it otherwise it would be quite a sizeable item of furniture to store until your baby is ready.

What changes would you make to this product?

The desk part seems like an excellent idea and it's great to have such longevity in a piece of furniture for a baby but, as a mother of an only child who would grow out of the crib by the age of 6 months, it seems very detached from a desk that may be suitable for a child of 4 years or older. It would take up a lot of storage space for a long time before it could be used again.

Would you recommend the Knuma Huddle to other mums?

I would recommend this to other mums. When I received the Knuma Huddle I couldn’t wait to set it up, I had heard a lot about this product and wanted to see for myself. The main thing I wanted to see was the drop-down side. Perfect for having baby close by at night time. I loved the fact I can open my eyes at any time and see baby at a glance. It is a stylish bed and I find it easy to use. When my little girl outgrows it, it can be turned into a desk for my 2 year old.

How did this product make your life easier?

I am able to comfort my baby easily if she becomes unsetteled in the night by just reaching over with my hand rather than a traditional moses basket where you need to get up and out of bed. This is a very sturdy crib and would be hard to knock over compared to a very lightweight Moses basket.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would choose the Knuma Huddle above others. It is a huge peace of mind knowing I can get to and comfort my little girl without causing her too much upset. It is very solid in how it is made and screams quailty. The main thing I really liked was that it attatches to your bed so you have no worries of it somehow being knocked over or moved in the night. Also you can rock your baby or have the crib set to stand still.

What changes would you make to this product?

It would have to be the weight of it. Although I have said this is a bonus which it really is if you have other small children in the household, it is extremely heavy and not easy to move when in the box. It is lighter when out of the box but I needed help bringing it in the house and moving it upstairs.

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

I love this bedside sleeper, I wish I had this with my first baby. Having my son so close yet in a separate place is fantastic. This has made night feeds so much easier, I do not have to get out of bed.  The mesh sides allow airflow great for the summer or hot babies. It is height adjustable and can be a Moses basket, separate crib then a desk and chair so could be good value to boot. I could see this lasting more than one baby.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

Anything that makes feeding at night easier is a winner for me. This bedside sleeper is fantastic, I slide him out, lie down feed then pop him back in. I’m a more rested happy mummy for both my newborn and toddler. It is also lovely having him so close which has helped with bonding and quality time with him. As we have a really hot loft conversion the sides help me worry less that he will overheat.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

To be adaptable and bigger so it can be used until baby is sleeping through the night. As you will be used to them sleeping next you and easily feeding, when they have to be moved out of the bedside sleeper it would be shocking to the system having to suddenly start getting out of bed. Even if it is once a night!!

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

I would recommend this bedside crib as is has a variety of uses. I like the fact it sits nicely next to your bed and is easily adjustable to the height of your bed. It is a solid well-built crib with mesh sides allowing you to see baby. The standalone crib is my preferred method as felt baby could roll in the gap. The crib being used as a Moses basket is a good idea.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

I can see that this would last longer than an average Moses basket therefore being able to keep my little one in the room with us longer.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

Make it easier to move from room to room like a Moses basket.

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

This is a good idea to have options of where the baby sleeps. I am unsure of the desk and stool option as these things never quite live up but the rest is good. The quality makes me think that this could last for a number of children therefore a good investment if planning to have more than one!

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

This would have been great for my middle child. He always needed us close when sleeping. My little one is more independent so we use it as a standalone crib but next to our bed. The gentle motion can help sooth between feeds without too much hassle.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

A thicker mattress as this felt a little hard compared to others i have used.

Tested by mum Sally Cotterall for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

This is a lovely looking bedside crib, my bud looks comfortable as the mattress is soft and it can be close to our bed. I’d worry that he will roll towards me so didn't use the drop down side.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

It is higher than my Moses basket so is helpful for daddy to get bubs out of bed too as he is a lot taller than me.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

Have softer sides as it feels a little hard.

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

Very transitional looking wooden bedside crib that has the added longevity of being able to be a desk too. Very easy to use and makes the most out of a small space. So sturdy and solid we felt baby was safe in the crib. Very transportable as the bassinet is removable, so can nap around the house.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

Easy to move baby with you when they are alseep and having them In a co sleeper is brilliant for breastfeeding and safe co sleeping

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

It looks too traditional/grammar school desk for me, I would probably paint it, pastel colours would be lovely for it to be made in.

Tested by mum Julie Carr for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

This bedside sleeper is very versatile, it can be used as a crib, Moses basket and co sleeper, therefore giving you options. It is expensive but has more choice than other Cribs including a desk / stool which if used could make it value for money. It looks nice and seems solid. It was easy to clean but a little heavy as a Moses basket.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

Not getting out of bed for night feeds is excellent, much easier.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

The weight of it, it is not easy to move around or into other rooms.

Tested by mum Julie Porter for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow parent?

This is a lovely co-sleeper. I  really like the fact my boy is so close to me. I can see him all night clearly. Getting him out and in at night for his bottle is easy. It easily fits to our bed. It seems a bit bigger than my crib so could possibly last a bit longer too.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

Not sure if it makes it easier as such but I do love to wake up next to him in the mornings. I have a few giggles and smiles before I even have to get out of bed. If I was still feeding it may be easier than my crib was.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

Maybe make it a bit lighter or easier to carry from different rooms as I use my crib for naptimes downstairs with me. This is possible but a little more effort required.
