A simple, very traditional looking cot that has great features for a reasonable price. It is quite compact, so good for smaller homes but loses points if you’re looking for longevity.
A well-priced, classic looking cot that has three base positions, a drop-side and teething rails to protect the wood. It’s simple to build and light, so is easy to move around, too.

Our testers thought it felt solid and were impressed with its durability. It’s a shame the drop side mechanism is quite noisy and not that smooth because it’s such a good feature to have on such an inexpensive model. The Darlington is a good value, but is on the small side, so you’ll need to upgrade to a toddler bed probably by the time your baby’s two.
There’s a matching dresser/changing unit and wardrobe available and a choice of white or pine effect finishes. Our testers would have preferred the cot-bed version of the Darlington for its longevity (£159), but for those with space restrictions, this is a solid buy.
