The Love To Dream Swaddle is lovely and soft, and easy to use. The design allows for different arm positions (up or down), optional zipping and it has enough space for little legs to move around. It’s well shaped, with sizing dependent on weight rather than age.
The zip feature helps to minimise the disruption if a nappy needs changing. The sleeves are removable on the 3-month plus products, converting the swaddle into a summer sleeping bag.
The fabric is light (good for warm weather) and easy to wash; it can be tumble dried with the rest of the laundry.
It’s a modern interpretation of a swaddle that won’t appeal to all parents, many of whom might feel that it doesn’t offer the same snug security that more traditional versions do offer. But a quality product nonetheless.
A swaddle helps to make your baby feel secure, as it recreates the feeling of being in the womb. It can help to settle a crying, colicky baby.
Leanne Burnham-Richards, 28, from Gloucestershire, is mum to Imogen, 19 weeks. She says:
‘Every evening from 5pm to 6.30pm Imogen gets colicky and cries. I need something to help her feel more content and comfortable.
‘Babies either love to be swaddled, or hate it. Imogen hates it! But I do think this is a superb product. The design lets a baby move her arms, making it less restrictive.’
