Red Castle’s Cocoonababy Nest is a comfortable alternative to a Moses basket (or crib) – for naps during the day and to use as an impromptue baby seat. It’s lightweight and easily portable. The nest is great for babies with reflux and is ideal for parents who favour co-sleeping. It’s also soft and safe, securing baby with a sturdy middle strap.
The nest is recommended for use up to four months and although useful, is expensive (unaffordable, even) for something that is used for such a short time.

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?
I liked the design of this product - it looks cosy for baby and the idea behind it is good - to help support baby's position and relieve any strain on the babies head to prevent flat head syndrome. The strap was an important addition to give peace of mind that baby wouldn't roll out of it. The cover comes off to enable washing and the foam support that sits behind the legs is adjustable so that it grows with the baby.
How does this product make your life easier as a mum?
It was useful to take to the grandparents’ and know that I had somewhere safe to lay baby to sleep. It’s so light and transportable that I could take it into our kitchen while I did some jobs and let baby sleep in comfort. It’s a handy product to have to ensure baby is comfortable and safe.
If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?
I do think the product is quite highly priced for what it is. Although it looks really nice, it is really just a cleverly designed piece of foam so I do think that the price would put a lot of people off.

This is a comfortable sinking support for newborns. Baby settles really well on the support. Great for babies who won't sleep in a Moses basket or cot. Easy to carry to place to place and grandparents’ houses for example. Wipes clean really well even with a baby wipe.
How does this product make your life easier as a mum?
Our baby wouldn't settle on anyone but me, apart form on the Cocoonababy. We really loved that it enabled us to get some sleep! Fits so well in the cot or even as a support on the floor.
If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?
It's a little big to put in the Moses basket but fits really well in the cot.
