The Chicco Balanskate is a 3-in-1 toy that converts from Balance Board (at 18 months) to Scooter (at 24 months) and then from Scooter to Skateboard (at 36 months). It’s made from vibrant, hard-wearing plastic that is both appealing and durable.

The balance board might be a bit advanced for the 18-month age group (and almost certainly younger children), with little ones losing interest much quicker than older children playing with the scooter/skateboard elements. It does, however, come with some really fun sound effect features! The product assembles simply and transitions with ease. The rubber wheels roll nicely but some of the toy’s edges are unfinished (and a little sharp) and the large plastic screws tend to unwind themselves when the product is in use.

The Balanskate is great concept and it has longevity – progressing with early years development. If the age-appropriate guidelines are (roughly) applied, little ones should have great fun with this toy.
