“The ABC Design Zoom Style tandem is the ultimate system for twins, offering true face to face interaction. The seating configurations that the Zoom offers is unrivalled in the tandem market. Its height adjustable, leather effect trim, all round suspension and lockable swivel wheels ensure comfort for parents, while the extra padded, parent/forward facing seat units with 3 position recline keep little ones happy. To use from birth, its quick release system allows changing between seat units and optional carrycots or car seats effortlessly and with additional adaptors, the Zoom can accommodate Maxi-Cosi, Cybex and Kiddy Group 0+ car seats.”

Would you recommend the ABC Design Zoom Tandem to other mums?

I would recommend the ABC Design Zoom Tandem to other parents because it is easy to put together, easy to put the seats on and take off compared to other tandem prams, the basket underneath is very big, it folds down very small and neatly so it's very easy to get into your car boot - especially if you have a smaller one.

How did this product make your life easier?

The ABC Design Zoom Tandem makes my life easier as a parent because of the seating arrangements. Being able to have my kids facing each other is fantastic. It makes walks a lot more enjoyable as they are able to entertain each other when they're bored - and if they get sick of each other I can just turn one of the seats around.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would choose this product above others mainly because of the number of seating arrangements that you can have with it. I haven't seen a pram where you can face two children inward before and I find it so helpful. It has stopped the boredom tantrums on our walks! The sun canopies are also fantastic and cover my child’s eyes whereas some don't.

What changes would you make to this product?

If I could change something about this product it would be to make it shorter. It is definitely on the larger side of a tandem and it can make it rather difficult to steer, especially in shops - you have to make sure you have enough turning room or you'll crash into an aisle! Other than that though I really liked the ABC Design Zoom Tandem.

Tested by mum Jessica Spence for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend the ABC Design Zoom Tandem to other mums?

I would recommend this to other mums because the quality is very good and the design well thought out. It's hard to come across sunshades that actually cover a baby’s eyes but this one can fold out to do just that. The seats are also amazingly easy to adjust - it's probably the only one I didn't need to read the manual for!

How did this product make your life easier?

This tandem pram makes my life easier as a mum because my child can fall asleep without being blinded by the sun - I find that in other prams that the more into a reclining position he is, the more the sun shines up to his face whereas with this one the canopy drops down and completely shades him. It is also great being able to change around which position they are with the seating arrangements.

Would you choose this product to win?

I wouldn't choose the ABC Design Zoom Tandem over others because it's a bit of a beast. It's very large compared to others.

What changes would you make to this product?

If I could change something about the ABC Design Zoom Tandem it would be to shorten the length of the chassis. It's a nice idea having the seats on the same level, but it does add to the size of it. I think it depends on what you prefer to have. More room for kids’ seating arrangements, or a shorter pram!

Tested by mum Robyn Clarke for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend the ABC Design Zoom Tandem to other mums?

The seats were very big and spacious, both children looked very comfortable and had plenty of space to grow into. The recline of the pushchair was very good and both seats reclined to a good position for naps. The foam handle bar was dense and felt quite hard wearing compared to others that are easily damaged.

How did this product make your life easier?

Both children were very happy in the pushchair as they had lots of space for their comfort. They enjoyed facing each other and entertaining each other. Having the seats at different heights was another great feature so neither of them were forced to look at the back of the other seat. The many configurations of this pushchair meant it was suitable to use in a wide variety of situations.

Would you choose this product to win?

No, it was far too big and I avoided going certain places as I knew it would not manage to get navigate it around small shops and sharp corners. I found crossing the road difficult and in one case actually found it safer to cross the road backwards as I had very limited visibility as it was and with the added length of the pushchair it was not safe at all.

What changes would you make to this product?

The size, ironically, is the ABC Design Zoom Tandem’s biggest pro and is also its biggest con. Whilst the children were very comfortable and had lots of room, and the basket was a good size, but this all added up making a very large pushchair that I just don't think would be practical enough for us as it limited where we were able to go out when we were using the pushchair.

Tested by mum Helen Bristow for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

We loved this pushchair so much we went out and bought one! In my eyes it is an essential piece of kit if you have two children close in age. It is quick and easy to fold up/down, has endless options for forward, rear, flat, upright seating positions. Most importantly in my eyes however is the ability to put two children in identical chairs in front of each other, rather than with most tandem pushchairs where you have to have one child underneath the other. The design was great, it seems durable and it was very intuitive to use.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

No more meltdowns over who has to go underneath! It saves me so much time. It is also incredibly quick to unfold and assemble. I am also able to utilise the shopping basket while having both children seated which is a rarity with tandem pushchairs.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

More padding on the handlebars.

Tested by grandmother Ann Day for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow grandmother?

As an arthritic Granny, I found this pushchair incredibly easy to set up. It was light under hand, has an intuitive set up, no need to check the instructions, there was no part of it my arthritic hands couldn't manage and it was narrow enough to fit through doors. It had a good variety of colour choice and all covers are washable.

How does this product make your life easier as a grandmother?

It collapsed easily and had very light handling. As a Granny to a two year old and 10 month old it can sometimes be difficult to get out and about with them. This pushchair enabled me to do this. There are also numerous configuration options meaning you can have the children facing each other, both front, both back, whatever they prefer on the day.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

We could not get the car seat to fit on it and the instructions were not helpful.

Tested by mum Mike Ehlas for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

As an engineer I found aspects of this design to be impressive, while others baffled me. The pushchair itself is easy to collapse/unfold and the set up is intuitive. The seats are practical and seem durable and the covers are easy to remove and washable. The hoods are great with the ability to see your children, or cover them from the sun and the rain cover was quick and easy to put on/take off. You seem to get a lot for your money with this pushchair.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

The ease of use was the biggest selling point for me. It was just so easy to set up, no faffing. As both children had identical chairs the straps were already adjusted to fit each of them and we could swap their seating position to suit their needs without having to change them. Such a time saver!

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

One thing that really irritated me was the handlebar needing to be half an inch higher to allow the rear seat to recline without having to force it down as the hood caught on the underside button every time.

2015 – Multiple, Twin or Tandem Pushchair or Accessory Award!

The ABC Design Zoom Tandem is a nice, modern, comfortable pushchair. Its versatility is a major plus; both front and back seats can face to the front or the rear (toward mum or dad) and the seats can also be replaced with a car seat or carry cot (as extra-cost accessories), making the product suitable from birth.

The mobility of the chairs allows little travellers to face one another in transit, which is a lovely idea although the basket is difficult to reach if this setting is chosen. The pushchair is sturdy but also heavy and quite bulky, even when folded. It can be a challenge to manoeuvre in an out of shops and curbs can be a hassle Although it is spacious the pushchair is also long, which makes it impractical for urban living. The product has some niggles but is nonetheless a solid, well-made design that will be convenient for many parents with two (or more) small children.

2014 – Shortisted for 'Best Multiple, Twin or Tandem Pushchair or Accessory' Award!

ABC Design’s Zoom Tandem is a great quality pushchair. It’s versatile (accomodating both a car seat and carrycot) and comfortable. It steers easily and has a nice, big basket. The seats can face forward or swivel inward to face each other, which is great for sibling interaction.

It is, however, bulky and thus cumbersome when manoeuvring around town. It’s heavy once folded and also quite long – not easy to fit into a car boot!

It’s a nice product but better suited to country living than big cities!
