Easy to use, push and fold the Phil&Teds Smart is ideal for getting about with minimum fuss. It’s a shame it doesn’t recline that far and the compact size means that it might not have the longevity of other models.
A compact, nimble pushchair that looks stylish and is good quality. The pushchair seat is only suitable from six months, so the ‘Peanut’ carrycot (sold separately at £107) is a must if you want to use this for a newborn. The pushchair is light and easy to push, even one-handed, and is a doddle to fold.
The seat doesn’t recline very far though, so not ideal for naps, which could be a problem with a younger baby. The small size and weight is great for storage but means that the Smart may not last that long for larger toddlers. Taller testers also found that the handles were too short and couldn’t be adjusted. But the car seat is well padded, and is easily fitted onto the pram and into the car. It’s an excellent choice for an older baby or toddler and fair value for money.
