WaterWipes are the only baby wipes ever to be approved by Allergy UK. As pure as cotton wool and cooled boiled water, maternity wards and neonatal intensive care units in the UK and Ireland have started recommending them to parents.

Comprising 99.9% water (rather than being full of chemicals), these wipes are soft, gentle and kind to baby’s skin.

The packaging could be improved so only one wipe comes out at once and the design could be more attractive. The price is also higher than a lot of brands but you're paying for the product's natural credentials and ultimately a happy baby!

WaterWipes Travel Pack is a nifty product for an afternoon out. The wipes are chemical free and have a nice, natural smell. They are soft, strong and gentle on sensitive skin. The wipes come out of the packet easily – one at a time – and the clear plastic tab stays closed after use although a flip-top lid would be more convenient. They are great for hands and faces as well as bottoms and are also economical, which is a good thing as there are only ten wipes in a travel pack. Some mums might find the wipes a little dry, expensive too, but overall, great quality and good value for money.

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

I love that the water wipes contain no chemicals. It means that I can be rest assured there is nothing harmful was coming into contact with my baby's delicate skin. The wipes are lovely and thick. Super soft and fragrance free.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

The wipes are more expensive than some brands. However, you get what you pay for. I am safe in the knowledge that with every bum change my son was not coming into contact with chemicals. He is prone to sensitive skin. Using these wipes meant that there was no flare up caused by wipes. It is really easy to remove each wipe from the pack as required without doing the "one arm shake", trying to get the perforated design that some wipe companies use.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

The packet could do with a better opening. I found the sticky opening lost its stick towards the end of the pack and then the wipes began to dry.

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

I would recommend these wipes to a fellow mum because of how chemical free and simple they are. Simply made using water means that the baby's bottom isn't coming into contact with anything even slightly chemically. The wipes are a very good quality meaning they didn't tear or rip and they don't feel too thin. Each wipe is a very good size. This means you can clean more bottom using less wipes therefore saving wipes in the long run. They are wet enough yet not too wet. The packaging is clear and simple. It is informative.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

These wipes make my life easier as a mum by being able to confidently clean my baby's bottom knowing that there is nothing in the wipes to risk making him sore. The wipes are a great size and saturated enough to ensure a quick and easy nappy change.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

I would suggest perhaps lowering the price of these wipes as they are priced much higher than other brands and makes. This would being them into line with the competition and convince me to buy more of these wipes.

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

I think these wipes are a good quality and easy to use with a refreshing smell. They are good at cleaning little one thoroughly with minimum amount of wipes, therefore saving on waste. These is just the right amount of moisture, not too wet/not too dry.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

The fact that you don't need to use too many wipes to clean little one is always good, you don't have to waste time/wipes on getting them clean. I think the wipes cleaned well and reduced the chance of my little one getting sore, which will make any mum's life easier!!

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

These don't have a plastic clip to keep the wipes fresh/moist for longer; in saying that, the sticky cover is very good compared to other makes. The other thing I would change is the cost.  These wipes are very expensive and I would say they are not any better than competitive wipes on that market, therefore I would not look to buy these as they are better and cheaper wipes available.

Tested by mum Stefania Fleming for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

I loved the quality of these wipes. They were very thick and moist so I could use less at each change. Despite them being one of the more pricier brands of wipes they are definitely worth it for the peace of mind in knowing that they are made for sensitive newborn skin.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

Using less wipes per change saves money in the long run.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

A plastic cap on the wipes would help keep them in perfect condition in your changing bag once opened.
