At a glance:

Good nappies from a trusted brand, these Pampers Baby Dry nappies can cope with overnight wetness. That said, our panel of mum testers wished they had the wetness indicator available on other nappies.

What they say:

“With up to 12 hours of overnight dryness, Pampers Baby Dry nappies are recommended by 88% of UK parents. The nappy has three absorbing channels to help distribute wetness evenly, keeping your baby dry through the night, with absorbent micro pearls to lock away wetness. Comfy for a better sleep all night, the Pampers Baby Dry nappies have flexible sides, to provide a comfortable fit and great overnight leakage protection.”

Would you recommend this to other mums?

First of all, I would definitely recommend Pampers Baby Dry nappies because of the breathable, cotton feeling and quick drying material. To keep a nappy on all night long and to not have any rashes in the morning is amazing. With previous nappies, I have had to wake my little one up just to change him, but I don’t have this problem anymore thanks to Pampers Baby Dry. The price is also great for the quality of the nappies.

How did this product make your life easier?

These are the perfect nappies for my baby – he is sleeping eight to ten hours a night, so we really need a good absorbent nappy. We didn’t have any accidents overnight with Pampers and my son never had nappy rash, which has made my life so much easier than expected.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would definitely choose Pampers above all other nappies and I am convinced that they are the best choice for my baby. They should win a Mother & Baby award as they really stand out from other products on the market in the hours of dryness you get, the lack of smell and the cotton feeling – no other nappy has had all three together. Also, for the quality you get the price is amazing.

What changes would you make to this product?

The only thing I’d add to these nappies is the wet/dry line you find on the Pampers Sensitive nappies. Otherwise, I am very impressed with the quality, price and availability of these nappies. Pampers definitely deserves to win an award!

Tested by mum Sarah Wyatt for the Mother & Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend these nappies to a fellow mum as they are reliable and keep my baby dry during the day and more importantly, overnight. The nappies do seem to live up to their promise to keep baby and as a mum this is essential in meaning less nappy changes, and having to disturb a tired baby. The nappies fit well and allow my baby to move freely. I would definitely recommend them as a reliable brand, although there are some other nappies on the market that are cheaper and have similar results.

How did this product make your life easier?

Pampers Baby Dry nappies provide the usual quality and reliability you expect from Pampers nappies. They kept my baby dry overnight allowing my baby to sleep through without being woken up to change a wet or leaking nappy. As my baby gets older this reliability is crucial in allowing baby, and mum, to have a good night’s sleep. The nappies are also easy to use and fit my baby well.

Would you choose this product to win?

These nappies provide the reliability you would expect from the brand, keeping baby dry overnight and keeping moisture away from baby’s skin and clothes. The fit was comparable to other nappies I have used and my baby had no reaction to the nappies. However, there are other nappies on the market at a cheaper price point, which I think achieve the same results at keeping baby dry.

What changes would you make to this product?

I found the fit around the waist was good but not quite as good as other nappies I have tried – the top part of the nappy seemed to rise up quite high and especially now my baby is starting to move, it wasn’t easy to secure the tabs in the correct place.

Tested by mum Alexandra Brown for the Mother & Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would definitely recommend these nappies to a fellow mum as they are very good in every sense. They keep my baby dry and leak free all night, every night, which means that I don't have to wake my baby throughout the night to change her nappy. I also love the packet sizes as they last for a few weeks, but aren't massive when it comes to finding somewhere to store them.

How did this product make your life easier?

As well as being such a well-known name for delivering consistent quality, I would also recommend these nappies as the sizes are very true and the design is pretty. It is clear to see whenever they need to be changed and they also hold very well.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would put this product above all others! Although they are slightly expensive, if you are smart you can always find them on offer somewhere. The main thing I love about them is that even when my daughter decides to drink 32oz of milk throughout the night they still don't leak, which means I don't need to wake her to change her nappy or clothes and she stays comfy and dry all night.

What changes would you make to this product?

The only thing that I would change about this product is how expensive it is. For some mums, these nappies just aren’t affordable.

Tested by mum Sophie Clarke for the Mother & Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend Pampers Baby Dry nappies mainly for overnight use. That said, this is only because I can manage the poo leaks as I change her a lot in the day and they aren’t as bad if the nappy is dry, but others might not!

How did this product make your life easier?

They have and they haven’t. The nappies absorb liquid really well and keep my baby's skin dry, the pods do help distribute the liquid around the nappy when its full which is very clever. The fit is also good. On the downside, I’ve found the nappies does not contain poos very well at all and I have had a few leaks with these nappies compared to Pampers Premium Protection, especially if it is at all wet.

Would you choose this product to win?

Yes, I would choose these nappies to win an award, as I think they fit my baby better than any other nappy I've tried and my daughter seems comfortable in them. Spreading the liquid out in the three pods makes a big difference and the Pampers Baby Dry nappies are the only ones she will stay in all night without getting uncomfortable. I would warn people about the poo leaks though, as this has been a big problem in the day

What changes would you make to this product?

A wet/dry indicator would be really good, as it is hard to tell when the nappy is only a little wet, especially as I do like to change my daughter regularly throughout the day.

Tested by mum Abi Clarke for the Mother & Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend these nappies as the designs on them are cute and they are relatively easy to use. They hold lots of wee and generally do a good job at keeping my baby dry, and she had no problems with nappy rash whilst using them. I did feel confident in the fact that these nappies come from a good brand and I knew they wouldn’t cause her any trouble like some of the cheaper brands.

How did this product make your life easier?

These nappies were really great for making sure the nappy had a good fit, as the red tab marks at the front meant we didn’t put the nappy on too tight or loose. We were generally able to leave one on all night with no trouble, but on a couple of occasions the position my baby slept in meant that wee leaked out of the leg, meaning we needed to change the bedsheets in the middle of the night which wasn’t ideal.

Would you choose this product to win?

Unfortunately, I don’t think these nappies should win due to the leaking issues we had with them in the short time we tried them. I also really do not like the smell of them, which seems to be quite chemically and strong. I could smell it through all her clothes and it meant me think twice about using them again. I would use these as a night time nappy, but probably not again during the day.

What changes would you make to this product?

Perhaps try and offer different fits around the legs to prevent the leaks that we experienced.

2015 - Shortlised Nappy!

Pampers is the nappy brand that every mum knows. These nappies work well, with no leakages, but the downside being the price with so many own-brand versions available in supermarkets now. But you do get the quality with this brand.

The unisex pattern is fun, adding the cute factor, and the nappies seem comfy on baby, with a useful wetness indicator.

These nappies are reliable at night and you might want to pay a slightly higher price for the peace of mind that your baby will be dry for 12 hours.

2014 - Top Nappy!

Pampers’ Baby-Dry With Improved Extra Sleep-Layer nappy is soft on the inside, comfortable and leak-proof. The nappy fits well although it does sometimes sag to the side when full. The product is not too bulky and includes a wetness indicator, which is especially great for small babies. The nappy is durable, staying intact after excessive activity, and enables easy movement.

In spite of all the plus-points the price of the product might be an ultimate put-off, costing more than some parents are willing to pay but the quality is nonetheless top notch and the ‘improved protection factor’ is something that many mums and dads will be glad to receive for an extra pound or two.
