What they say:

“Created by Founder Shabs Kwofie in 2012, AmaWrap is a home-grown UK-based company. The AmaWrap Baby Carrier is easy to wear, soft - with no buckles or clips - and comes in a range of colours to fit in to any wardrobe. The ergonomic positioning makes the wrap comfortable for parent to wear and allows for the best hip position for baby. A perfect wrap for colic and reflux babies too. The fabric is made exclusively for AmaWrap ensuring it has exactly the right amount of stretch both ways to be comfortable whilst giving optimum support to baby.”

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend the AmaWrap to other mums if they want to keep baby close and are willing to spend a bit of time learning how to use it. Once you know what you're doing it gets easier each time. My little boy loves to be close to me and even at the young age he is his eyes light up when he sees me begin to wrap. He falls asleep very easily in it and looks comfortable. There is also a breastfeeding position to wrap in as well.

How did this product make your life easier?

I can do an awful lot more as a mum when wearing the AmaWrap, especially having two older children. When baby is getting fussy I can just pop him in the wrap and get on with daily jobs or just simply sit and eat a meal knowing he is happy being close to me but I am hands free! It's great for walks when you just don't want to take the pushchair.

As a baby carrier this is one of my favourites because baby is able to be next to me and the wrap is comfortable to wear for long periods. There are no buckles and straps which means it fits different sizes quickly and there is also nothing digging in when wearing baby. I like how small the wrap folds so it can be put in a changing bag. It can also be used as a makeshift blanket when out and about if not being worn.

What changes would you make to this product?

I wouldn't change anything about the wrap as it really is just a simple piece of material. With a little bit of practice it is easy to put on and get baby in and out of. The price is very reasonable as well especially for a product which will last for a good few years. I would consider buying this product for a new mum.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would only recommend the AmaWrap to expectant parents or newborn parents as it is not easy to use with an older baby. It is comfortable to wear though and with practice can be put on quite easily. Once you know what you're doing it gets easier each time. It worked well for dog walks if my daughter was in the mood to be worn.

How did this product make your life easier?

I feel the AmaWrap is more suited to a younger baby. It was good to wear when walking the dogs but not for general wear like you would with a newborn. If the wrap was used from a newborn I think it would be easier to put my daughter in because she would be used to it and therefore more willing to be worn.

Would you choose this product to win?

Having no buckles and straps means it can fit different people easily and no buckles means there is also nothing digging in when wearing baby. The wrap can fold small so it can be put in a changing bag and it also comes with its own carrying bag.

What changes would you make to this product?

There is not a lot to change about the wrap as it is just one piece of material. It takes a little bit of practice but is fairly easy to put on and get baby in and out of, also the price is very reasonable.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend this AmaWrap to a friend or fellow mum because it isn't too expensive and provides a great way to bond with your child whilst having hands free to do chores. A clingy or colic-y baby can render you immobile as a newborn can only sleep in your arms and the natural soft carrier allows you to mimic the comfort of your arms.

How did this product make your life easier?

This product makes my life easier as a mum because it is small and easily portable to grab and use at times when you need your hands but baby wants to be held. It also allows me to walk wherever I want with the baby secure and close to me as I go into town. I don't have an awkward pushchair that doesn't fit through gaps or I can't get up stairs. It is a sure fire way of lulling my baby to sleep which can be a big battle sometimes.

What changes would you make to this product?

I can't quite get over the fact that this is just a big length of material which when wrapped around me can get very hot. If the material could be more breathable whilst as strong, it would be much improved.
