What they say:

“The Diono Dreamliner is a complete home from home travel bassinet providing a lightweight (under 3kg), quick folding and portable sleep solution. Whether at home or away, baby is kept comfortable and secure with a well-padded mattress, adjustable hood for directional shade and integral insect net. The cozy, secure sleep space is well ventilated with mesh side panels and the removable mattress cover makes cleaning a breeze. Ready to use straight out of the box, the Diono Dreamliner is opened and folded in seconds and comes with a carry bag for easy portability.”

I thought the Diono Dreamliner was a brilliant product - so incredibly easy to use, pack away and transport, making it a perfect travel product, particularly with a small baby, as they need so much stuff when going away! The mattress was protected with a cover and could be easily cleaned if needed. The design was simple but elegant and the hidden mosquito net cover that unzips from the hood meant little one could be easily protected outdoors. The travel bag was sturdy and a great size.

One thing I particularly admires about the Diono Dreamliner bassinet was that the stand was integral. With so many baby bassinets and Moses baskets, they need a separate stand that takes up room if you are travelling. This bassinet rests on the floor and because it doesn't need an extra stand folds up so compactly ready to travel. It was really easy to fold away quickly and the travel bag is really well designed so that you could easily take the bassinet with you to the beach/outdoors if needed.

I thought the Diono Dreamliner was very well designed. It looks smart and is just so easy to use and compact to transport. Provided your baby would sleep on the mattress (which is comparable to that of most Moses baskets I think), it would be an ideal solution to taking an under-6-month-old away on holiday without compromising space in the car/ in aeroplane luggage.

What changes would you make to this product?

I thought it was very clever that the Diono Dreamliner has an integral zip in the hood that releases the mosquito net covering, meaning it still looks smart and complete when the mosquito net is not in use. It was a little tricky to zip back up though, and my suggestion would be to have 2 zippers, one either side of the net that folds out, to make it easier to pack away. I was also unsure of how comfortable the mattress is for my baby, given that it has a fold in the middle for compactness.

This product is awesome, they have thought of everything. Comfort, usability, lightweight and most of all it fills a huge gap in the market. I would certainly recommend for holidays but also for use in the summer or any time when popping out a quick bed for your baby might be necessary. Thumbs up to Diono!

Portable and lightweight. Also the mesh net which keeps the mosquitoes away is really handy for not only holiday but also older siblings! I wish I'd had the product earlier as it now means that I'm able to go out and about anywhere without worrying too much about nap time. Best use was for holiday on the beach and at night.

This is a more expensive version of the others on the market and now I know why. It is a good size and fits a baby up until 6 months (ish) which most don't quite stretch to. It's also well made and can endure older siblings shaking it and attempting to break it! I don't know if this is worth double the price but it's a good product you can rely on upon the first months.

What changes would you make to this product?

It would be great to see a toddler version as the traditional travel cots are very heavy, difficult to transport as bulky and they don't have a padded mattress so you need to buy one separately! This Diono Dreamliner has a mattress cover which is great but would be a much more complete product with two covers so you could wash one and keep using the product when it inevitably gets dirty!

This bassinet is fab for if you are travelling or just in your garden at home. The one thing I always struggle with at home is somewhere to put my son if we're out in the garden. I don't have any shade in the garden so I usually have to sit inside if my son is awake. This is fantastic for just that, with the sun cover it comes with, it covers my son perfectly meaning he can sit outside with me all the while being protected from the sun! It's super easy to transport as well as it comes in a handy bag!

As previously mentioned, being able to sit outside knowing he has somewhere safe to lie is a huge plus point. It's also fantastic for taking with you if visiting friends. I keep it in the car and if I visit someone I can easily set up this for somewhere for him to sleep. No need to get a bulky pram out or anything. It's also great for trips to the beach.

It's comfy for my little one and well ventilated. I love the sun shade and the fact I have somewhere safely that my son can sleep either while out at a friends, on the beach, in the park or just in my garden. The bag it comes in is great as it's just big enough to fit in the car and carry around with you.

What changes would you make to this product?

There are a couple of things that I do dislike about the product but I still think it's fantastic. It is a little flimsy on the sides, there doesn't seem to be any real structure to it, so if anyone knocked into it or tried to move it by accident it wouldn't be able to with baby in it. The only other downside was the mattress, it was a little thin and did move around in the bottom. I found I had to pad it out with a blanket to make it a little bit more comfortable for my son, especially when on uneven grass.
