What they say:

“Whether your child is ready for a grown-up chair or you're dining out, the perch booster seat gives them that extra boost. Designed for children from 15 months, the seat is secured with two straps, which are easily adjusted as your child grows. The seat features an integ¬¬rated handle and easily collapses for discreet storage, making for an ideal travel companion. Further design features include a backrest to support little ones during mealtimes and a three-point harness to keep them secure. No need to worry about any spills as the removable, soft cushion is stain resistant and easy to clean.”

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend the OXO Tot Perch because it is lightweight, easy to carry and take on travels and fits perfectly to all types of chairs. I found that being able to tighten the straps from under the seat meant they couldn't be messed with when not in use, which is always a good thing. It is wipe clean, making it quick and easy to sort if on travels and using it. I also like that it fits to all different types of chairs.

How did this product make your life easier?

It’s compact and easy to attach to a chair. The seat is comfortable for the child while giving them a bit of freedom like sitting in a normal chair. The chair is easy to wipe clean, meaning it is great for taking to a restaurant. It also saves having to try getting a highchair and gives the child a bit of freedom as it’s only a bottom seat rather than all round.

Of all the seats I have ever had, this is one of my favourites, it’s small, compact, durable, easy to clean and suits the child as they grow. The seat is modern and nice to look at, it gives the child freedom to move about while still being safe and keeping them in their seats. I also like how they can't mess with the straps.

What changes would you make to this product?

There is nothing I would change. I think it is really nice to look at and does exactly what I want it to. The cost of the product is fair for what it is, I have no quarms paying that out for such a good piece of equipment that can be used for a long time. The only thing maybe I would think about is more colour varieties.

This is a handy little addition or even replacement to your highchair, it's a modern design with lots of little features which making it a useful investment. We found our toddler was very comfortable sitting on it and liked to be at the table like us. We also tried this with our 3 year old who said it was ‘comfy for a baby chair.’ It folds down nicely and can easily swap between straps and no strap mode with the handy unseat compartment. This feature and the foldability really make it quite useful. It is very easy to clean, some nooks that food can get into but I have yet to find a chair that doesn’t. I really think this is a very well made seat with the ability to last. We have had material type boosters in the past but I feel this would last longer and be more hygienic.

My eldest (3 years) loved it at first he thought it was comfortable but it was a baby chair. However hiding away the straps helped and he likes the fact he could sit comfortably at the table. This is excellent as he is spilling less of his food as he fits properly. He can get up and down easily which is vital at his age. My youngest also tried it at grandma’s birthday and loved it. He was at the table like a big boy and really had fun acting like his brother. We have found this really versatile and a lot more than we expected too. It really helps keep the place tidier as both boys seem to be less messy than our previous set up. We are thinking about getting another and getting rid of the highchair as it helps to save space too.

At first I wasn’t so sure about how well this would be used, as we have had others and ended up passing them on as we never really got on with them. However this has a durability, adaptability which others don’t seem to have. I can see both my boys using them until they no longer need that extra boost. They have a almost sleek look to so, don’t have that baby feel which can put my pre-schooler off some items. It states it can hold upto 70lbs which makes it last a fair while.

What changes would you make to this product?

Maybe a carry strap or storage bag would help to make this booster seat even more appealing. This would enable it to be packed away when not in use and easier to transport. It is compact enough to fit in some larger buggy baskets or possibly some changing bags so additional protection would really add to the seat.

I love the design of the OXO Tot Perch as it's so compact compared to one I already have. It's not too heavy to carry and when on the chair it isn't overbearing and doesn't make my child feel like he's in a seat, it's just a nice little boost that he needs. The cushion is also nice and comfy, again compared to another one I have tried which was just plastic and hard. My son finds this a lot comfier to sit on. It folds up neatly as well which makes storage of it fantastic.

How did this product make your life easier?

It's perfect for travelling, it folds up nicely and can be easily carried. Fits in the car for when we go away. The padded seat also can be removed which I like because I can give the whole seat a good clean, there's no risk of you missing a rogue piece of food wedged somewhere! It was very easy to attach to the chair. It's a fab booster seat and my son loves it as now he can sit at the table with us and feel more grown up than he does in his other bulky booster seat.

I've used similar seats before and they are bulky and hard to move the chair when they are fixed. This is so compact and is also less in your face. It fits nice with my dining table if I leave it attached to the chair. I like how I can keep it attached to the chair and the chair will still fit under my dining room table with it still attached. The back folds down so can be made even smaller for storing away!

What changes would you make to this product?

The only thing that I did have a problem with was the adjusting of the straps. When attaching it to the chair, in order to adjust the straps you have to take the padded seat off. This can be quite fiddly and to then adjust the straps is also a bit fiddly. I would prefer to have adjusters for the straps on the outside, so you can attach the booster seat and then pull the strap ti fit accordingly without having to take it apart to do so.
