Discover your child’s inner artist and head down to the brilliant Pottery Café for an afternoon of arts, craft and painted pottery, of course!
Until 1st September, the Pottery Café will be running ‘Pirates and Princesses’ themed sessions for children of all ages. From princesses and unicorns to treasure boxes and pirate flags, your children will be able to design and decorate their very own piece of pottery.
And in keeping with the pirate theme, the café will also be holding a hidden treasure colouring contest with a £50 Pottery Café voucher prize – so keep within those lines!
For a small studio fee, £5.99 per person, you’ll be given your own paint and all the necessary equipment, including pirate and princess themed firing sponges, to work on your masterpieces.
Plus for any person, small or big, who makes the effort to dress up in their favourite pirate or princess costume, there will be no studio fee. And for the connoisseurs amongst you, all pottery is supplied exclusively by Emma Bridgewater – another reason to check this out!
With sessions lasting up to two hours, you’ll have plenty of time to grab your choice of cake and drink on offer in the café.
An activity like this is perfect to let to your child experiment with their creative side and can be easily recreated at home with plain white mugs to paint on. Painting of any sort is a great way to test their hand-to-eye coordination and concentration skills. As for designing and decorating the pottery, your child will be able to truly express themselves. Just make sure to be on hand to help. So check this out and let their imagination run wild!
