The best Christmas pyjamas for all the family

Section: Christmas

Make it a tradition. The gift of new pyjamas for the whole family on Christmas Eve. Snuggly, fun, festive and blissfully comfortable, Christmas jammies make the holiday that extra bit special. Here’s our pick of this year’s best Christmas PJs, from newborn outfits to mums' Christmas sleepwear too...

Elf PJs for mum, dad, kids and the dog (from £1.99, homebargains.co.uk)

Possibly our favourite Christmas pyjamas ever. Super-cheap at £1.99 to £9.99, these elf PJs come in two kid sizes, two adult sizes for mum and dad and even a cutesy dog size! It’s a family Christmas card pic waiting to happen.

Christmas is Coming (£14, mamasandpapas.com)

In sizes six months to three years, these traditional PJs are smart enough for all-day wear. Can’t you just see Prince George and little Princess Charlotte in these…?

Santa (£16, mamasandpapas.com)

We’re suckers for a bit of classic red and white gingham and these pyjamas couldn’t be cuter. In super-soft cotton, they’ll wash well, too.

Fleece polar bear (£24, mandco.com)

Perfect Mummy-wear for Christmas morning, the top of these PJs is a cosy fleece with a flattering V-neck. Now, where’s the Buck’s Fizz?

Fairisle (£24, George at Asda, direct.asda.com)

More loungewear than jammies, but soft enough to sleep in on a cold night. You’ll live in this Scandi-style set all Christmas week, guaranteed.

Elf sleepsuit (£7, morrisons.com)

If you haven’t checked out the Nutmeg collection for kids and babies at Morrisons you’re missing a trick. We fell in love with this adorable elf sleepsuit with matching hat.

Penguins (£5, morrisons.com)

This cute set couldn’t be a better Christmas deal at just a fiver, and your little one will love the cheery penguins on the front of the brushed cotton top.

Stars (£27.50, debenhams.com)

Stars have been a huge trend this year but what better time than Christmas to wear them? These rather fab PJs-come-loungewear are a must-have for fashion maven mums.

Red woodland pattern (£12, morrisons.com)

Think of this as a onesie… split into two. The pretty woodland print – hedgehogs! – means these jammies, which come in sizes 8 – 22, are not just for Christmas, they’re for all the dark nights of winter.

Gingerbread (£18, marksandspencer.co.uk)

If you want a change from Santa and his reindeers, dress your tot in these charming gingerbread PJs with soft cotton jogger pants.

Moose (£28, Hatley, bluealmonds.co.uk)

Like a Christmas Eve walk in the Rocky Mountains… these moose-and-fir-tree PJs are by cult Canadian label Hatley and made of top-notch quality cotton.
Expand Image

Holly (£35, Magnolia Baby, bluealmonds.co.uk)

Bit of a stretch at that price but such a treat. These prima cotton holly pattern pyjamas have a charmingly traditional layette look.
Expand Image

Robin print (£16, jojomamanbebe.co.uk)

Available up to age 5-6 years, these gorgeous pyjamas have ribbed cuffs for warmth and are made from a super-stretchy jersey.
Expand Image

Penguin (£16, jojomamanbebe.co.uk)

They won’t want to take these off all over Christmas, so best to buy two pairs. The clever people at JoJo Maman Bébé are one step ahead and are offering £5 off when you buy any two pairs of Christmas jammies.

Woodland print (£25, marksandspencer.co.uk)

No flashing reindeer noses. No penguins, red fleece or smiling Santa. Just a way-too-cool-for-Yule woodland print in a rather sophis plum shade. And that sweatshirt top looks SO comfy…
