Lisa reviews the Discover n' Grow Jumbo playmat

The Fisher-Price Discover n' Grow Jumbo Playmat, around £43, provides plenty of space for your little one to have tummy time, play with the different toys and explore the textures of the mat. We asked Lisa Palompo, 30, from Glasgow to test the rocker with her daughter Camilla, 7 months. This is what she thought:

The Discover n’ Grow Jumbo Playmat really brightens up the room, but isn’t garish at all.

Camilla loves the clip-on toys and they’re great for tummy time. I took it out in the garden during the summer, as it’s big enough to give CC space to play and also me to sit.

In  the lounge the mat covers a good area to protect the carpet from inevitable baby mess and I don’t have to worry about the mat getting dirty as it’s machine washable and tumble dries.

I've also taken it to friends’ houses and on holiday as it’s very light, easy to fold and transport.

Overall, this mat’s a great addition to our home.

Helen reviews the Discover n' Grow Jumbo playmat

The Fisher-Price Discover n' Grow Jumbo Playmat, around £43, provides plenty of space for your little one to have tummy time, play with the different toys and explore the textures of the mat. We asked Helen Tedman, 26, from Cambridge to test the rocker with her son Hugo, 6 months. This is what she thought:

He has a lot of tummy time at the moment so it’s ideal – plus now he’s learned to move about, he can see all the bright colours attracting his attention! The different accessories can be attached to different parts of the mat, too, which keeps him occupied.

Thinking with my mum cap on, I love that the mat’s machine washable and can be tumble-dried – but even then it’s still easy to just wipe up little messes.

The padded mat is very comfortable, and big enough to fit Hugo, his big sister Charlotte and me all at the same time.

Fiona reviews the Discover n' Grow Jumbo playmat

The Fisher-Price Discover n' Grow Jumbo Playmat, around £43, provides plenty of space for your little one to have tummy time, play with the different toys and explore the textures of the mat. We asked Fiona Henderson-Ross, 35, from London to test the rocker with her son Callum, 10 months. This is what she thought:

We love the Fisher-Price Discover n' Grow jumbo playmat and use it every day at the moment. We have wood-floors, so it's great to have something to put Callum down on that's comfortable for him to lie on.

The big attraction of this playmat over many others has to be its extra big size, which means we have continued to use it as Callum grows and starts to move around. It is easily big enough for more than one baby to play on, so perfect for when friends come round to visit.

It comes with cute toys including a mirror, frog and fish toy and the big elephant has a crinkly ear which Callum loves scrunching. There are also hoops so you can attach additional toys or move them around. I can see us using it as a playmat and picnic mat in the garden over the summer, too.

Stephanie reviews the Discover n Grow Jumbo Playmat

The Fisher-Price Discover n Grow Jumbo Playmat, around £40 is a comfy place to relax—with plenty of room to explore! Baby can lay and play, or enjoy tummy time fun, playing with toys like a crinkle ear elephant, froggy rattle, fish clackers and more. Extra loops let you bring your own linkable toys to the mat (sold separately), adding even more fun! Folds easily for use on-the-go. We chose Stephanie Guzman to review it with her son, Dominic. Here's what she thought:

Dominic is getting more and more mobile (by the day, it sometimes seems!) and I found that some of the kit we had at home was getting in Dominic's way.

The mat he mostly lays on is not quite big enough to contain all his wiggling and squirming, and sometimes when he tried to roll over one of the bars from his gym got in the way.

When I first saw the jumbo playmat I thought it looked like it would solve a few of these problems. The second thing I thought was they really weren't kidding – it certainly is jumbo! For all his wriggling Dominic hasn't ended up rolling off.

It is beautifully padded with colourful pictures of animals printed on it. There are interesting, noisy flaps that little hands can grab as well as detachable toys that can be moved to different places on the mat. For a baby, it is a very stimulating place to be!

We started well, and the first time I lay Dominic on he did his very first roll from his back to his front (cue massive excitement!). He seems to really like it, and will even spend longer on his tummy on it than he will elsewhere.

I'm not sure if it's the patterns, the detachable toys or the mat itself, but he's very comfortable. He also especially likes the mirror and the noisy elephant ear, and I often hear him crinkling away!

This mat came to us at just the right time, allowing Dominic the space and freedom to encourage his movement. However, it's also a lovely place for him to just play!
