Lucy reviews the Newborn to Toddler Rocker

The Fisher-Price Discover n' Grow Newborn to Toddler Rocker, around £70, is suitable from birth, as a newborn rocker that converts to an infant rocking chair for older babies. The removable toy bar keeps your baby entertained and helps him to develop his hand-to-eye coordination. We asked Lucy Lord, 26, from Leeds to review it with her daughter Scarlett, eight months.

The rocker looks very cosy for a newborn, but with a crawling baby who wants to move around and touch everything I was intrigued to see if it would still amuse Scarlett.

Although I found assembly a bit complex, it is more than sturdy enough for older babies and my four year old seemed pretty impressed by it. At first, Scarlett wasn't very happy about being strapped in, but she was quickly distracted by the toy bar with chunky, dangly animals, perfect for chubby fingers.

I also remove the toy bar and used the rocker as a reading chair. I can definitely see us continuing to use this as Scarlett gets older. Plus, it folds for easy storage and transport, making it is perfect for a weekend at her grandma's house.
