Great days out for the Easter holidays

In need of inspiration for what to do with the kids this Easter? We’ve found some great events and activities to entertain young and old alike, and some essential gear too.

Newly launched Critter's Creek is full of weird things for the kids to discover, with strange animal characters, the resident nutty professor, Professor Blast, a train ride, and reptiles and bugs in the Beastie Burrow. Adults will love this as much as the little ones, we think!

The new Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure is opening in CBeebies Land, Alton Towers, from March 21. Take the little ones on a sea adventure, and learn about sea creatures as they have fun.

Take the kids on a trip to Warwick Castle and learn about more than 1,100 years of history. There will be lots of shows and attractions, with storytelling, flaming fireballs, and 500 steps of the tower to climb. From March 28 to April 12 there is also Horrible Histories Mediaeval Mayhem, with the most gruesome bits of history to enjoy.

Knowing the British weather, it's quite likely to rain during the Easter hols, so why not take the little ones to your local swimming pool? There is also a new Jurassic Seas installation, with ancient marine dinosaurs to discover. If Brighton is too far for a SpongeBob adventure, you could watch the new SpongeBob Movie in cinemas.
