Bedruthan Hotel & Spa Cornwall Review

Bedruthan Hotel & Spa Cornwall ReviewLinda Harrison visited Bedruthan hotel with her husband, Karl, and 21-month-old Harry.

The location of Bedruthan Hotel is stunning.

Set into a cliff above the dramatic Cornish coastline, the walk down to the beach from the hotel is a great adventure for little explorers.

Our 21-month-old son Harry ran most of the way, pointing at noisy seagulls and crashing waves. It was pretty nice for us adults too - heading back for breakfast with sand between our toes was a glorious way to start the day.

As well as the natural entertainment, there’s plenty to do at the hotel. Water babies will love it, with one indoor and three outdoor pools.

The hotel caters really well for kids – from the Jungle Tumble soft playroom to toddlers’ outside play, tennis court and giant trampoline. But it’s also geared up for grown ups.

Ofsted-registered kids’ clubs for all ages (two hours of free childcare daily) mean parents can curl up with a book in the adult-only sanctuaries or use the seaview spa. Don’t miss a dip in the beautiful hydropool or spa treatments: My ila Ananda Face Therapy facial provided an hour’s blissful escape from toddler tantrums.

We borrowed an all-terrain buggy - the South West Coast Path is nearby - and buckets and spades for beach trips.

For couples wanting privacy, accommodation includes apartment suites and villas with kids’ bunk bedrooms.

There are two restaurants. The Wild Café has high chairs and children’s meals – but while it was extremely child-friendly, it still felt grown up. Plus the floor to ceiling windows meant I could catch glimpses of the gorgeous sea view while Harry happily rubbed macaroni cheese into his hair.

In the evenings we used the free baby listening service to grab a grown up dinner in the adult-only Herring restaurant.

If you’re looking for a holiday to spend time as a family but also time as a couple, Bedruthan is the best of both worlds.

Bedruthan Hotel offers Toddler Breaks, including free equipment hire – boiler suits, wellies, kites and spades - one night’s free toddler sitting and money for meals. Two nights from £478.
