X Factor runner-up Rebecca Ferguson has confirmed that she is pregnant with her third child.

The singer took to Twitter on Sunday evening to tell her followers the good news.

‘Yes I am having a new lovely baby children are such a blessing and I'm grateful to god for my new little gift xx’ she tweeted.

The Nothing’s Real But Love hitmaker also posted a picture of an ultrasound image with a poem written below it.

Rebecca, 27, who dated One Direction’s Zayn Malik while they were both on the X Factor in 2010, already has two children with ex Karl Dures – Lillie May, 10 and Karl Jr, now eight.

Speaking back in 2011 about becoming a teenage mum, Rebecca said it was hard splitting from her first love, especially when the two children were thrown into the mix.

‘It doesn’t ruin your life. It was hard splitting from Karl because I think you should always try to stay together when you've got children,’ she told a magazine.

‘It’s not easy being a single mum but I have a very good, civil relationship with Karl. He lives locally and is an active father.
‘I’d definitely like more kids when I’m older. And I think I’m like every woman in that I’d like to get married one day.’
