The Atomic Kitten star has admitted that she’s finding it difficult to juggle work with breastfeeding her newborn
Breastfeeding isn’t easy for everyone. Between getting to grips with the act itself and then fitting it into your mum schedule, it can be hard work – something that celeb mum Natasha Hamilton has realised.
The singer, who gave birth to her fourth child, Ella, at the end of September wrote on her Baby.co.uk blog about her struggle.

‘I tried Ella on a few different bottles after expressing but she just wouldn’t take it – she kept retching and getting agitated,’ writes Natasha. ‘She managed to drink just over an ounce from one bottle the day before my job but then she got quite upset as she obviously wanted mummy’s breast.
Natasha adds that getting Ella to use a bottle is not only physically tough, but emotionally hard, too.

‘All my instincts are saying, don’t bother, keep her on the breast for as long as possible, but as a self-employed mum, I can’t give up work and have to take it as and when it comes, and I’m not in a position where I can pick and choose,’ she writes.
Despite writing that she’s loved breastfeeding, Natasha is ready to accept help from Ella’s dad Ritchie. ‘It’s got to the point now where daddy would love to get involved in helping out feeding and I’m not going to lie, one or two full night’s sleep while daddy does night feeds would be wonderful.’
We completely understand!
